Back to CulturTwining! Because I can’t resist sharing some thoughts about the Olympics.

Hi strangers! It’s been almost two months since I’ve updated CulturTwined… during these two months I admit I’ve somewhat enjoyed ignoring the blog, refusing to think about posting in a timely fashion.

I’ve also had a new idea for a blog at least once a day. And the ideas keep on coming…

But it’s been a full summer. I’ve had good time with people I love, and worked seriously hard. I’m still working hard, at the moment, on assignment in a country new to me. In fact, I’ve never even been to this region: West Africa! I’m taking notes and will share them here.

First, though, I’m putting together some thoughts from my experience of London2012 – the Olympics in my backyard! What a privilege it was to participate, to be in town for the first week. During the next couple of weeks, I’ll be posting some of these.

I love this photo and wanted an excuse to share it. I was walking through the English countryside one day and just came across this tree. Doesn’t it look like Treebeard?
